Kiran Deol, Director / Producer

A recent Harvard graduate in English, Kiran wrote her thesis novella, Dalit, on a young Nepali girl under novelist/advisor Jamaica Kincaid.  She spent one year working WOMEN REBELS in Nepal.      

                                 
Nzinga Blake, Board of Directors

Nzinga Blake is an American/Sierra Leonean actress and host on Al Gore's network, Current TV. Nzinga was named after the African "rebel" queen who fought against Portuguese slave traders.  She is particularly drawn to women's rights issues.


Sanam Anderlini, Board of Directors

is one of the leading gender experts in her field.  In Nepal she led a UNFPA/UNDP needs assessment team into Maoist cantonment sites.

Shaun Forouzandeh, Art Director

Shaun Forouzandeh is a Los Angeles based editor and art director with work that includes internationally run commercials, documentary films, multimedia art exhibits and best-selling photography books.                          


Grady Walker / CINEMATOGRAPHER

Grady Walker is a graduate of Loyola Merrimount’s film program and currently lives and works in Nepal as a filmmaker, speaking fluent Nepali. 


Nat Needham / CINEMATOGRAPHER

Nat Needham was raised in Nepal and studied photography and international relations at Bucknell University.  He now works for an NGO in Oregon. 


Monica Rana, LiaIson

A Harvard graduate in Economics, Monica Rana is of Nepali origin. Monica provided the initial logistical support to the project. She currently works as an investment banker.
